What Are Commonly Abused Drugs In Ontario?
Many of the drug addicts found in Ontario frequently abuse the narcotics. Some of the common names are; Oxycontin which is referred to as Oxy, Hillbilly heroin, Big C and Killer on the streets. There is also the Dilaudid, Percocet, Percodan, Demerol and Codeine and Morphine in a myriad of many more. These narcotics have their ways of working which most people find convenient to take.
They work in such a way that they block the signals of pain which are being delivered to the brain, some of them on another aspect alter the brain’s way of defining these signals of pain. The addiction begins when the patient takes it more than prescribed which is about twice a day. These drugs are administered in different forms and prescriptions thus calling for proper and keen use which is not the case with many of Ontario residents who have adapted to having them taken on overdose being considered as drug addiction. These narcotic drugs come in form of capsules, tablets, syrups and some should be served as solutions.
In regard to the most commonly used drugs, there have been a string of many eventualities which have been triggered by drug addictions. The rural pharmacies have faced very many calamities. The most common have been robberies where the men with problem go to search for Oxycontin. On the other hand, there has been research which was conducted in the surrounding schools. It was found out that many of the seventh grade and eighth grade students who constitute eleven percent use drugs such as Oxycontin, Percocet, Tylenol 3 as well as Demerol. This percentage gets to a double when it comes to the ninth and twelfth graders. Those are some of the few cases of the use of the narcotic drugs but there are many more when the community is looked at large.
