Marijuana Detox in Ontario

A gradual cutting down of the amount smoked has been reported as one way to safely quit.  Motivation is key and sometimes elusive to the usual smoker.

Going “cold turkey”  has been tried effectively,  but nevertheless, reports are full of relapses due to the lingering withdrawals, such as fogginess, paranoia, forgetfulness, nervous hysteria, and difficulty sleeping. Occasionally exercise and nutritional support can help along with peer support.

There has been a parallel in the behavior of schizophrenics and those withdrawing from drugs, and doctors offer psychotropic medication as a way to mask or suppress the distress.  This is reported to work only for a short time until the ongoing withdrawal symptoms and the new drug’s side effects create new problems.

Due to the now widely accepted fact that THC is a fat soluble, methods of eliminating the stored THC are now becoming more familiar as a natural withdrawal process and very useful at cleansing the tissues and fat stores of these residues.  Once the residues are eliminated, the body reportedly regains its energy, clear headedness and clarity of thought returns, and vitality for life and productivity also rebounds back to normal levels.

More info on Marijuana

Over the last two decades the quantity of THC that is found in marijuana plants has been doubled or tripled according to page 13 of  the National Drug Control Strategy Annual Report of the year 2000,  which states,

marijuana

“Marijuana is much stronger now than it was decades ago. According to data from the Potency Monitoring Project at the University of Mississippi, the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content of commercial-grade marijuana rose from an average of 3.71 percent in 1985 to an average of 5.57 percent in 1998. The average THC content of U.S. produced sinsemilla increased from 3.2 percent in 1977 to 12.8 percent in 1997.” *

This would describe why there are more hospitalizations of people suffering from detox symptoms after brusquely discontinuing using marijuana.  The most common and most troublesome aspect of marijuana detox is panic attacks and sleeplessness coupled with paranoia and delusional thoughts.   This can be very frightening and  detox is extremely recommended for marijuana users who wish to successfully quit without landing in the local mental hospital on ANTI-PSYCHOTIC, or ANTI-ANXIETY MEDICATIONS unnecessarily because they did not put themselves during a healthful withdrawal program.
